Ms. Rachana Sharma is the Principal of GIIS-Surat campus, which is a senior secondary, co- education CBSE School. As a school leader, she directs her team and co-ordinates within the system. Her role as the School Principal involves developing and implementing the curriculum, assessment of teachers, Parent’s involvement, monitoring progress of students, guiding the teachers to achieve set targets. She motivates and encourages the staff to work in harmony and with dedication to foster school improvement. Nurturing children with the best education and curriculum is the motto she works on. Her enthusiasm towards work and staff motivates all to give their best. Working with GIIS is a great exposure to her career.
She has a total experience of 19 years with the administrative experience of 9 years in different capacities. In her previous assignments, she has handled both CBSE and State Board schools as the Principal. She has handled more than 100 teachers and 2200 students.She has worked in different schools at different cities as a teacher and has taught various subjects at different levels. She has been selected as a CS and as an Observer by CBSE for the conduct of Board Exams.
Ms. Sreepriya Suresh is associated with GIIS Surat since 2016, dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child. Working as a Pre-Primary coordinator for the last 2 years. Has conducted various staff training and acts as a mentor for new teachers assisting them to develop effective instructional methods and strategies. She has conducted various training programs for parents. Has been instrumental in planning special days, special weeks, I- Care programmes and Parent Engagement activities. She is a warm and caring teacher, who wants all children to be successful learners and works to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging and adaptive to the varied needs of students.
She strongly believes that “It’s the teacher that makes a difference not the classroom”.
She has worked as Head of KG-2 & guided the teachers in a number of academic tasks in her previous organisation by completing it within the prescribed time. Working in the organisation helped her to learn a lot related to academics and administrative skills to enhance her professional career.
She is working as the academic coordinator for Primary as well as Middle school. She motivates, guides and helps the teachers to conduct the regular activities and follow their timetable in the best way. She also helped in bringing out the best in her teachers. She has been a moderator in parent teacher interactions whenever needed. Formulation of Question papers, improvement in teaching techniques, etc. are something she works on precisely. Bringing the best in Students and Teachers is what she intends to do. Apart from being coordinator she also delivers lectures to Primary classes. Sincerity and discipline are her key motivation.
She had previously worked as an English and Commerce Teacher. Being an HOD she learnt a lot about handling the Department and managing work systematically. Apart from academics she even looked after the curriculum and various activities conducted both scholastic and non- scholastic.
Being a Senior Level Coordinator, He delicately handles all Academic Activities in the school. He also performs his duty as IT In-charge where he looks after teachers training like TEAMIE, Percipio, Mathbuddy, Tata Classedge, 9 gems and also coordinates internal training. He looks after Board class targets and achieving the projected results which is absolutely challenging. Reviewing and analysing the results and preparing action plans accordingly for students’ academic enhancement. He actively looks after teachers observations and frequently guides them for improvement. Preparing ALMANAC, world load and time table is something he helps with. He smartly handles Class 9 to 12 CBSE registration. Takes challenges positively and is dedicated towards work. He works passionately for the improvement of students, teachers and their overall development. He prefers to complete his task before deadlines with extreme care. He worked as an HOD in IT dept. in his previous employment which gave him knowledge of handling work precisely. It also helped him in personal development along with department development. Working as an HOD helped him in improving his managerial skills. His overall experience at previous employment was satisfactory but the exposure and work responsibility at GIIS has heightened his ability to deliver beyond expectations.
